Winemaker’s tasting notes: Slàinte (pronounced Slahn-je) is Scotland and Ireland’s toast to good health. Deep purple in colour with tinges of crimson, this wine oozes sweet cherries and plums with hints of Christmas spice on the palate. Made in 2009 from chambourcin from the Lovedale vineyard, the tannin structure is really soft allowing it to be enjoyed on any informal occasion or simply as an everyday easy drinking quaffer. The perfect wine to enjoy through the warmer months as it is delicious served slightly chilled.
