Best Marist Brothers White: 2010 Sauvignon Blanc

A view of the Marist Brothers vineyard.

Winemaker’s tasting notes: Keywords for this wine are aromatic, lychee, herbaceous and refreshing. Sauvignon Blanc was the stand-out variety for 2010. Harvested with perfect ripeness and clean fruit, this year’s Blanc boasts an exceptional aromatic bouquet and palate. The usual characteristics you have come to expect from a Marist Blanc are present; lychee, pineapple and tropical fruit. The difference this year is the weight on the palate and passionfruit flavours. This is easily our best vintage so far and this wine is best consumed fresh.
